Australia described the situation in Saudi Arabia regarding its mass execution as horrific and appalling.
In a speech delivered by its ambassador to the Human Rights Council, Ms. Amanda Gorely, during discussions of the fourth clause of the 49th session of the Human Rights Council, Australia criticized Saudi Arabia's execution of eighty-one people.
Australia called on Saudi Arabia to cooperate with the United Nations human rights mechanisms and respect its international obligations.
