The Saudi European organization participates in signing a letter to King Abdullah in order to cancel the death sentence on Nemer AlNemer

The Saudi European Human Rights Organization signed on a letter addressed to King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, in addition to 24 other human rights organization, religious and legal institutions, as well as influential figures from multiple countries. The letter was for canceling the death penalty on Sheikh Nemer AlNemer and ensuring his release.

The letter stated that Sheikh Nemer did not have a fair trial, and the judge had not given him the chance to prepare his defense properly.

The letter emphasized that AlNemer is a peaceful activist and had never call for violence.

The letter concluded that Saudi Arabia has been newly elected as a member at the Human Rights Council of the United Nations, and it should be an example in monitoring and protecting human rights.

This letter, which was organized by American Organization for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain, was sent to the Royal Court in Riyadh, the Saudi ambassador Adel al-Jubeir r in Washington, the US ambassador Joseph W. Westphal in Riyadh, and to the President of the United Nations Human Rights Council Baudelaire Andong Eli.

Saudi National Society for Human Rights and the Saudi Arabian Human Rights Commission has also received a copy of the letter.

Human rights organizations and Medias continue to make various efforts aimed for ending the illegal detention of Nemer AlNemer.
