The European Saudi organization for Human Rights (ESOHR) has organised a seminar entitled: \u2018100 Days since the Largest Mass Execution in Saudi History: Legal Transgressions and Future Risks\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar will commence on 18th April 2016, in the House of Democracy and Human Rights in Berlin, with ZenaAleisa as the ESOHR moderator. The panel will consist of TahaAlHajji, prominent Saudi human rights lawyer for the victims who were executed, Wolfgang Buettner from Human Rights Watch and Kate Higham from Reprieve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Panel discussion will centre on Saudi Arabia\u2019s alarming surge in use of the death penalty. Panellistswill discuss the recent mass execution, explore trends in the imposition of the death penalty, legal issues and due process concerns and address future risks and challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, 55 people are at risk of the death penalty in Saudi Arabia, and for many, their charges are based on their exercising their right of expression, with several having been arrested when there were minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
